USA Air Force Wants Neuroweapons to Overwhelm Enemy Minds

During the Cold War, the CIA and the military experimented on unwitting human beings with dozens of psychoactive drugs, in a series of abusive and unlawful mind-control experiments.

More recently, the Pentagon’s National Research Council and Defense Intelligence Agency have been pushing for pharma-based tactics to weaken enemy forces.

In recent months, the Pentagon has funded several projects related to this and has been investing in projects aiming “remote control of brain activity using ultrasound.”

"Air Force Research Laboratory’s 711th Human Performance Wing revamped a call for research proposals examining “Advances in Bioscience for Airmen Performance.” It’s a six-year, $49 million effort to deploy extreme neuroscience and biotechnology in the service of warfare....That’s right: the American Air Force wants a way to fry foes’ minds — or at least make ‘em a little dumber.

USA military/CIA covert missions in "allied countries" - from the use of consciousness-altering drugs to "extraordinary renditions"

abuse of human beings: Use of consciousness-altering drugs by the CIA and other secret services are back

A recent article "Cries From the Past: Torture's Ugly Echoes", was published on May 23, 2010 on "truthout". The authors H.P. Albarelli Jr. and Jeffrey Kaye, have documented, among other topics, the participation of the Air Force, Army and Navy in the use of drugs, "enhanced" interrogation methods and more, usually mentioned as CIA's methods. The authors also make a case that the exposure of the MKULTRA program was in fact a way of distracting attention from the much more pernicious, and operational Project Artichoke. They also document how a cover story invented by Cheney and Rumsfeld in 1975 that Project Artichoke was, in 1953, replaced by MK/ULTRA, was in fact a way of creating Disinformation to prevent the exposure of the atrocities of Project Artchoke. The article includes documented passages on the use of sedative supositories, Halucinogenic drugs, alleged "suicides" at US-operated compounds, disposal problems, CIA "rendition" activities and its connection with CIA illegal human experiments: The full article can be read at: http://www.truthout.org/cries-from-past-tortures-ugly-echoes59738 "Cries From the Past: Torture's Ugly Echoes", published May 23, 2010 by: H.P. Army’s Hallucinogenic Weapons Unveiled - “Agent Buzz” - odorless and invisible, and there is currently no means of detecting it.

As more and more indications emerge that hallucinogenics have been used in the "torture program", an article worth reading:
"Army’s Hallucinogenic Weapons Unveiled"
by Sharon Weinberger - April 6, 2007 - WIRED - Danger Room

Extract:
"Advocates of using chemical agents in nonlethal warfare are increasing, making now a good time to start reviewing the historical record. A recently published book on the Army’s infamous "Edgewood Experiments" involving hallucinogenic agents like LSD may help shed more light on the debate. The infamous CIA work, MK ULTRA, is often considered synonymous with all government LSD experimentation. But the historical record is far more complex."

More on the use of hallucinogenic chemical weapon BZ or "Agent Buzz":
"Agent Buzz was tested between 1959 to 1975 on some twenty-eight hundred US soldiers at several locations. It proved extremely effective as an incapacitant. The physical effects are increased heart rates, pupil dilation, blurred vision, dry skin and mouth, increased temperature, and flushing of skin – as a med school mnemonic has it “blind as a bat, dry as a bone, hot as Hades, red as a beet.”
